The Group of Environmental Engineering and Microbiology (GEMMA) is located at the Department of Hydraulic, Maritime and Environmental Engineering (DEHMA) of the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya. BarcelonaTech (UPC). The Group is dedicated to interdisciplinary research, innovation, knowledge transfer and education in environmental engineering; particularly in the fields of environmental biotechnologty, water supply, wastewater and solid waste treatment, and bioenergy generation.
ttz-Bremerhaven is the European Coordinator of Nawatech project. ttz is a private non-profit technology transfer centre associated to the University of Bremerhaven (North of Germany) specialized in the fields of environment technology, biomass production, conversion and use, waste and wastewater management and energy efficiency.

Seecon international GmbH is a Swiss-based SME established in 1998. Seecon has implemented over 40 projects related to R&D in the fields of sustainable development, ecological engineering and water resource management. Many of them targeted the water sector in South Asia (India, Nepal, China, Philippines, Mongolia). Moreover, seecon is the worldwide leader in the capacity development fot Sustainable Sanitation and Water Management (SSWM).
Kre_Ta Landscape Architecture is a creative SME, running an office for landscape architecture and urban planning in Berlin, Germany. Established in 2003 Kre_Ta is focusing on sustainable and green urban designs with a strong focus on R&D projects to develop and design eco-innovative solutions. The Kre_Ta staff has a wide range of experiences in ecological architecture, urban design, and R&D activities in the fields of urban and space planning and rain water harvesting concepts in cities.
IRIDRA S.r.l., founded in 1998, is a private consulting engineering firm composed by an interdisciplinary group of professionals (an environmental engineer, an environmental chemist, a mechanical engineer, two biologists). All IRIDRA's members have a multi-annual experience (since 1992) in water management and an excellence expertise in wastewaters treatment with natural systems (Constructed Wetlands, CWs).
University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences (BOKU) is active in education, applied science and research for water quality management. The Institute of Sanitary Engineering and Water Pollution Control at the Department of Water, Atmosphere and Environment will be the main contributor to NAWATECH. The institute accounts for 30 people, emphasising an integrated approach in a wide range of research disciplines.
BioAzul is an environmental engineering and R&D SME focused on wastewater and sludge treatment as well as reuse and management technologies with a strong focus on R&D projects in order to develop and distribute eco-innovative solutions. BioAzul is developing and commercialising innovative MBR and SBR treatment systems focusing on low-cost and low-energy requirements.
