The NaWaTech team is pleased to invite you to the International Conference on Innovations in Sustainable Water and wastewater Treatment Systems (ISWATS) which will take place on the 4th – 6th of November 2015 at the facilities of project partner NEERI in Nagpur, India. The conference will include presentations of findings from all four projects supported under the framework of the India – European Union Science & Technology Cooperation project in water technology and management by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India and the European Commission (i.e. NaWaTech, SARASWATI, SWINGS, and Eco India). The strategic objectives of the conference are to exchange knowledge, technologies, guidelines and tools for implementation and operation among academia and public authorities, skilled service providers and SMEs, enabling research partnerships and creating favourable environments for the application of treatment systems and technologies for sustainable water / wastewater treatment, reuse and recycle.

Please find more information here and at http://www.neeri.res.in/iswats. Registration is open until the 15th of October 2015 (abstract submission deadline: September 15, 2015).

The NaWaTech project partners met again in both Nagpur and Pune, India, to discuss the progress of the project and the necessary next steps. For instance all field test sites were visited - the majority of which are finalized or nearing completion - and the site-specific research activities defined in detail to be carried out until the end of the project.

Parallel to the consortium meeting the NaWaTech Training for Technologies and Business Development in Natural Wastewater Treatment Systems was carried out from the 9th to the 18th of April in Pune. Please find some impressions of the training at our NaWaTech CoP facebook page
