Nawatech project partners met in Nagpur to review the project progress and discuss and agree next steps.

Workshops on sustainability criteria, compendium of Nawatech technologies and selection of high potential systems were successfully held. The results can be found as deliverables in the public library.

New potential implementation sites were visited in Nagpur, and sites in Pune were also discussed. We are now preparing the research plan and system designs for Nawatech´s implementation sites.

India Kick-off

A ceremony to inaugurate the EU-India cooperation in water research projects was held in Bangalore on the 10th of October 2012. The session was chaired by Prof. M. S. Mohan Kumar, Department of Civil Engineering, and Secretary, Karnataka State Council for Science and Technology, Prof. C. S. Manohar, Chairman, Department of Civil Engineering, Indian Institute of Science, Dr. Wolfgang Burtscher, Deputy Director General – Directorate General for Research & Innovation, EC, Prof. B. N. Raghunandan, Dean - Engineering, Indian Institute of Science and Dr. M. Prithviraj, Executive Secretary, KSCST.
